Clean Up My Credit By Jayme Hanson
How many times have you thought I need to clean up my credit
? Well there is no time like the present to get a copy of your credit report from the three major credit reporting agencies, TransUnion, Equifax and Experian. These agencies share information between each other but you will still want to get a copy from each one of the agencies because the reports for each agency won't have the exact same information.
The first thing I did to clean up my credit
was to review the reports carefully. Even if you have good credit once in a while you might find a negative mark on your credit. If there is a negative remark or a debt is still showing and you know that it has been paid, then you will want to dispute these entries. Notify the reporting agency that you are disputing a particular entry and send backup documentation such as a cancelled check showing payment.
