Clear Credit Report By Jayme Hanson
Your credit report is one way a bank, employer or insurance company will make important decisions about whether to loan you money, hire or insure you. It is extremely important to have a clear credit report
and make a good first impression.
Even though there are many companies who advertise to help you clean up your credit report, you don't need to hire or pay anyone to help clear your credit report if you discover an error or black mark on your credit.
The first step you need to take is to get a copy of your credit report. Get a copy from each of the three main credit bureau companies because the reports won't have the same exact information. Here is the contact information for each of the credit bureau companies.

Once you receive copies of your credit report, check out each entry carefully. The credit bureaus report the information they receive from creditors and once in a while a mistake will happen. If there is an entry on your credit report that you want to dispute you will need to provide the following information to the credit bureau:
Creditor
Account Number
Reason for Dispute
Once you have completed the required information for the dispute, sign and mail this information to the appropriate credit bureaus. You also want to include any documents that support your position in the dispute (ie., a copy of a cancelled check proving an account was paid in full).
